in the video, the environment is cold, dark, barren and empty, yet consistent. the only thing that changes is Madonna…she transforms into a flock of birds, a dog, and at some points multiplies in to 3 of herself. these are distinct markers of change. SO, like gov’t street, there is a variety of changes but the surroundings/development are very similar throught the changes.

Hmmmm, I think you can take gov’t street out of the design influences and just focus on the anthropomorphic transformations. Maybe use the motif of transcending the limitations of the physical world. Or of shape changers. Maybe choose one element and manipulate it into 3 different things that have a common identity.
